do you have a minimum number of services

I have a five person minimum (bride plus at least four others).

can you accommodate my large bridal party

I have a five person minimum. My average bridal party is 7-8 people. For more than 10, I prefer to bring along an assistant. If you have a time constraint, I can also hire an assistant to help expedite services.

how long does each person take

It generally takes me between 30-40 minutes per person. I always allow a little more time for the bride’s hair.

do you make a schedule

I can make a schedule with each person’s name and time for hairstyling services if you’d like. However, most of the time, bridal parties are getting ready together in the same room, switching off between hair and makeup. Some people’s hair takes less time, some take more time, so a schedule is just a general idea of what time/order your ladies will be in. As long as someone is constantly in my chair, getting their hair done, we are good to go!

do you offer makeup services

No, I am a bridal hair specialist, not a makeup artist. These are two completely separate specialties. This also saves time on your wedding morning, because one person will be in hair, one in makeup. Your bridal party will be ready in half the time! I work with the best makeup artists in the area and would be happy to refer one of them to you.

what do we need to do to prepare our hair for the wedding day

All of your ladies will need to come with CLEAN, COMPLETELY 100 PERCENT DRY hair. Washed and blown dry the day before is preferred. If someone’s hair is not completely dry, I can’t curl or style their hair. I will ask that they switch spots with someone else and come back to me when their hair is dry. This is to ensure the hairstyling is done in a timely fashion. If you know your hair does better with second day hair, that’s fine. Please do not come with 3rd or 4th day hair, however. Too much oil and product can weigh the hair down. Please also wear either a button down shirt, robe, or something with a low, loose neck to allow for ease in changing into your dress.

any other suggestions for the wedding day

One thing I have noticed at some weddings is the bridal party will be steaming dresses or the veil after their hair and makeup is done. Please have everyone do all steaming either the night before the wedding or before your hair is done! A steamy hotel room or bridal suite is not ever a good idea, both for the hair & makeup and the comfort of your bridal party.

are there any additional fees

All parking and valet fees will be charged to the bride’s hotel room on the wedding day.

Occasionally, for large bridal parties or early AM start times, I may require the services of an assistant, which will incur an additional fee for me to book/vet them and retain their services.

Some out of town weddings may require a hotel room or Airbnb the night before the wedding. This is to ensure a timely start, without delays due to unintended traffic or road closures. Please inquire about any travel fees.

how do i book my wedding date

A signed contract and a non-refundable retainer fee of $500 is required to secure your wedding date. Booking a trial without a signed contract does not guarantee your date will still be available.

when is my balance due

Final balance is due 30 days before your wedding date.

is a trial included

I offer trials as a separate service. This is because some brides are from out of town and unable to schedule a trial before their wedding, whereas other brides choose to have multiple trials.

tell me what to expect at the bridal trial

Trials can be scheduled Monday through Thursday in my midtown Sacramento location.  This is the time for me to get to know you, your hair, your bridal vision, and to make any suggestions for the wedding day, as well as the time for you to get to know me! If you prefer to schedule a trial without securing your date, I recommend scheduling as soon as possible to increase the likelihood that your wedding date will still be available.  Scheduling or attending a trial does not secure your date.  Please bring your veil and any hair accessories you may wish to use to your trial.  Also, please arrive with clean, completely dry hair. A trial generally lasts about an hour and a half. I look forward to making your wedding day hair dream a reality!
